Wirefly Now Accepting Nominations for its First Annual Wirefly Blog Awards

Reston, VA (Vocus) April 1, 2010 -- Wirefly, the Internet’s leading online retailer of cell phones and service plans, today announced the launch of its first ever Wirefly Blog Awards to recognize and reward the other sites on the Web that best help consumers stay up-to-date and well-informed about cell phones and the cell phone industry.

“Blogs have risen up to become a primary source for consumers who are looking to make purchase decisions,” said Jeff Gregory, Marketing Director for Wirefly.com. “We wanted to identify those blogs that aid in educating and informing the masses, while at the same time recognizing the significant contributions even some smaller websites make to the online wireless industry.”

How to enter:

Wirefly.com is asking for consumers to nominate their favorite blog(s) in each of five categories. To nominate a site, simply post the name or URL of the blog in the comment section of the category page below:

The nomination period begins on March 31, 2010 and ends April 15, 2010.

How to win:

Finalists will be selected by Wirefly staff from the list of nominations. Blogs with the most nominations will be given extra weight.

On April 16, 2010, the finalists will be announced on the category page and voting will be opened to the public, who will ultimately determine the winners. One winner will be selected in every blog category based on the number of votes received.
